Some of my favorite Californians are back with a new album which also brings a new tour!
The much anticipated sophomore album, The Only Place, includes several songs that have been previously released, but only on 7". Until now!
The Only Place will come out on May 15th but you can get a package deal, tickets to a show and a signed copy of the cd! Riiiight here- GiltCity.com Best Coast Pre-Sale ! They aren't coming to Phoenix :( but they are going to be in LA on May 18th. Looks like I'm California bound come May! Bitchin.
Check out Gremlins! They're a project supergroup comprised of such talents as Mat Cothran (Coma Cinema, Elvis Depressedly), Sam Ray (Ricky Eat Acid), Patrick Jeffords (Toro Y Moi) and Katie Lee (Braids).
They just released an EP on Feb 29th on their bandcamp for free! Including an intro and outro song along with 3 other tracks.
Also currently addicted to the song Orange Blossom-
Diggin on the Santa Barbara band Gardens and Villa lately, who sadly aren't stopping by AZ on their current tour, but will be hitting up Coachella. Hopfully they'll come by soon, I'm sure it would be a rad show to catch.

"You can get addicted to a certain kinda sadness. Like resignation to the end,
always the end." "You said that you could let it go. And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody you used to know."
DAMN.
This single has made it's way to #26 on the top 40 for the US. As well as the video being shot up to #5 on Youtube's Top 100. Well done Mr. Gotye, well done. And it's brought quite a bit of hype to the New Zealand native, Kimbra. She has plenty more super adorable videos to enjoy such as-
